1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing the website https://melodystudio.icu or booking a lesson with Melody Studio ("the Studio," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use our website or services.
2. Services Provided
Melody Studio provides private and duo music instruction in guitar, piano, and voice. Services are offered in-person at 1601 S Congress Ave, Suite 204, Austin, TX 78704, or online via video conferencing. All services are subject to availability and the scheduling of our instructors.
3. Booking & Payment
Lessons can be booked through our online scheduling tool or by phone. Full payment is due at the time of booking for single lessons. For monthly subscription plans, payment is processed on a recurring basis. We accept all major credit and debit cards.
All prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are subject to change with notice. Any promotions or discounts are applied at the time of booking and cannot be combined unless explicitly stated.
4. Cancellation & Rescheduling
We require at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling requests. Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged the full lesson fee. Exceptions may be made for documented emergencies at the Studio's discretion.
Monthly plan students may reschedule up to one lesson per calendar month without penalty, provided adequate notice is given. Unused lessons do not roll over beyond the billing cycle.
5. Refund Policy
Single lessons are non-refundable once booked, except in cases where the Studio is unable to deliver the lesson due to instructor unavailability. Monthly plan students may cancel their subscription with 30 days' notice and will receive a prorated refund for the remaining lessons in the current billing cycle. 6. Student Responsibilities
Students are expected to arrive on time, bring necessary materials (instrument, sheet music, etc.), and follow the Code of Conduct. For online lessons, students must ensure a stable internet connection and a suitable environment free from excessive background noise.
7. Intellectual Property
All lesson materials, including exercises, arrangements, and recordings created by our instructors for educational purposes, remain the intellectual property of Melody Studio. These materials may not be reproduced, distributed, or sold without written permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
Melody Studio and its instructors are not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to property that occurs on studio premises or during online lessons, except where caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct on our part. Students participate at their own risk.
9. Studio Policies
Parents or guardians of minor students must remain on the premises during in-person lessons or be reachable by phone for the duration of the lesson. The Studio reserves the right to refuse service or terminate lessons for any student who repeatedly violates studio policies or engages in disruptive behavior.
10. Privacy
Your use of our website and services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the website or services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Travis County, Texas.
